Take out a Hobie T2 catamaran, the latest model from the Hobie cat factory which has been producing high speed, exhilarating sailing craft for over 50 years and sail the sheltered waters of Bellacragher Bay, with or without a sailing instructor.
Discover all about the pirate and smuggling history of the hideaway bay of Béal a’ Creachaire (Bay of the Plunderer) while sailing on a catamaran with the knowledgeable Séamus Butler, the founder of the club.
Explore the islands and coves on a 19ft Trimaran with only the noise of the wind, sea and wildlife to hear as you Paddle, Pedal (Mirage Drive system) or sail your craft. Visit the seals, record the birds, observe the wildlife up close, have a picnic on a deserted island or beach.
Learn some powerboating skills, get the boat “on the Plane”, read a compass, plot a course, tie knots, enter a bay, secure boat to a pier, learn how to anchor or just sit back and enjoy a tour of the bay, visit the islands, learn the history.
