Gearóidín Boat Trips
Broadhaven Bay Hotel – Angling, offers fishing and boating trips on their 40ft purpose built boat “An Gearóidín”. Available for deep sea fishing and scenic boat trips, the boat can cater for a maximum of 12 people and is complete with the latest safety, navigation and fish finding equipment. Belmullet Sea Angling Club, have annual competitions and many angling clubs from around Ireland and the UK, take part in these competitions.
Broadhaven Bay Hotel is superbly located between Broadhaven Bay to the north and Blacksod Bay to the south with over 39 species of fish known to inhabit these waters. Anglers will be rewarded with the best all round sea angling waters in Ireland. Indeed the area is renowned for having some of the best salmon and trout fishing in Europe.
For those not attracted by the lure of excellent fishing, “An Gearóidín” can provide trips off the coast to the beautiful and tranquil islands of the Mullet Peninsula, Inis Gé and Inis Gluaire all of which are steeped in history and are just waiting to be explored. Trips around the Stags of Broadhaven and to Achill Island, Inishbofin and Clare Island can also be arranged.
